The peregrine falcon can get up to speeds of just over 200 miles per hour? WOW! These falcons were once on our endangered species list, but thanks to making poisonous pesticides illegal, such as DDT, they continue to make a come back.
Box turtles that have brown eyes are males. Females have red colored eyes.
Vultures throw up to keep other animals away from the food they are eating. It smells SO AWFUL that any person or animal will go away.

Opossums do not “play” possum. Their bodies actually pass out from extreme fear. Poor little guys.

A skunk’s spray can travel up to ten feet with good accuracy. They only spray when they feel threatened. AND, they are ever so kind enough to warn you before they spray. They stomp their feet first so leave then before you get sprayed.

Opossums do not carry rabies. Their body temperature is too low.
